LAUTECH Open and Distance Learning (ODL) Degree Programme Admission 2018/2019

The school authorities of Ladoke Akintola University of
Technology, Ogbomoso (LAUTECH) have released the open
and distance learning admission application details.

See below.

Applications are hereby invited from qualified candidates into
the ODL Bachelor’s Degree Programmes in the Open and
Distance Learning Centre of Ladoke Akintola University of
Technology, Ogbomoso for the 2018/2019 Academic Session.

BACHELOR’S DEGREE PROGRAMMES
FOUR (4 YEAR DURATION)

(i) B.Sc. Accounting
(ii) B.Sc. Computer Science
(iii) B.Sc. Marketing
(iv) BN.Sc Nursing Science

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR B.Sc.
ACCOUNTING AND B.Sc. MARKETING (4 YEAR
DURATION)

Applicants must possess at least five (5) credit passes in SSCE/
GCE/NECO /NABTEB at not more than two sittings and the
subjects must include English Language, Mathematics,
Economics and two other relevant subjects. Commerce may
be acceptable in lieu of Economics for B.Sc Accounting and
Marketing.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR B.Sc.
COMPUTER SCIENCE (4 YEAR DURATION)

Applicants must possess at least (5) credit passes SSCE/GCE/
NECO/ NABTEB at not more than two sittings and the subjects
must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics with any
two of the following Subjects: Further Mathematics, Chemistry,
Biology, Agricultural Sciences, Economics and Geography.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR BACHELOR
OF NURSING SCIENCE (BN.Sc.) (4 YEAR
DURATION)

Applicants must possess at least (5) credit passes SSCE/GCE/
NECO/ at not more than two sittings in relevant subjects. In
addition, the candidates should possess Registered Nurse
Certificate (RN) or its equivalent.

THREE (3) YEAR DURATION

(i) B.Sc. Accounting
(ii) B.Sc. Computer Science
(iii) B.Sc. Marketing

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR B.SC
ACCOUNTING AND B.SC. MARKETING (3 YEAR
DURATION)

– Ordinary National Diploma (OND) from recognised
Polytechnics with a minimum of Lower Credit in Accounting/
Marketing with relevant professional qualification may be
considered.
– Higher National Diploma (HND) from recognised Polytechnics
with Pass in Accounting/Marketing or other related disciplines
may also be considered.
– Good credit passes in “A” Level credit in relevant subjects
may also be considered.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR B.Sc.
ACCOUNTING AND B.Sc. MARKETING (2 YEAR
DURATION)

– Higher National Diploma (HND) from recognised Polytechnics
with a minimum of Lower Credit in Accounting/Marketing
or other relevant disciplines may also be considered.
– Third Class Degree in Accounting/Marketing. Candidates in
every category above must possess at least five (5) Credit
passes in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB at not more than two
sittings in ‘O’ level subjects listed in B above.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR B.Sc.
COMPUTER SCIENCE THREE (3 YEAR
DURATION)

– Ordinary National Diploma (OND) from a recognised
Polytechnic with a minimum of Upper Credit in Computer
Science Engineering/Technology or any other relevant
disciplines may also be considered.
– Ordinary National Diploma (OND) from recognised
Polytechnics with a minimum of Lower Credit in Computer
Science or Computer Engineering/Technology with relevant
professional qualifications may be considered.
– Higher National Diploma (HND) from recognised Polytechnics
with Pass in Computer Science or Computer Engineering/
Technology or other relevant disciplines may also be
considered.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR B.Sc.
COMPUTER SCIENCE (TWO (2) YEAR
DURATION)

Higher National Diploma (HND) from recognised Polytechnic
with a minimum of Lower Credit in Computer Science or
Computer Engineering/Technology or any other relevant
disciplines may also be considered.
Third Class Degree in Computer Science.
Candidates in every category above must obtain Five (5) Credit
passes at not more than two sittings in WAEC, NABTEB and or
NECO as stated in C.

IMPORTANT NOTICE ON ADMISSION
REQUIREMENTS

Candidates who score 180 and above in the 2018/2019 UTME
may also be considered for admission irrespective of their
choice of institution.

COMPUTER PROFICIENCY

Computer proficiency training and test will be conducted for
all applicants.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

(a) Application Form will be available on-line on payment of
Application Fee of ₦10,000.00 and Technology Fee of ₦2,500
only.
(b) Candidates are expected to register on the Centre’s
website:[www.lodlc.lautech.edu.ng] by completing and
submitting the on-line application form.
(c) In completing the on-line application form, candidates are
required to upload a scanned passport photograph with white
background showing ears, no cap and no glasses. The
scanned passport photograph must be in JPEG (i.e. jpg) and
must not be more than 20kb.

NOTE:

All Academic programmes advertised are run on-line on
LAUTECH ODL Learning Management System (LMS) Platform
for a specific period of time and students will later come to the
Campus/approved Centres for tutorial and examinations.
All applications must be completed and submitted on-line
within (6) six weeks from the date of this advertisement.
