Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM) boosting its operation in France with the rollout of new lines of business. Now fine art & specie underwriting is a ‘go’ with the appointment of a senior underwriter.
Stéphanie de Montricher (pictured), who holds a master’s degree in art history and law, joins from Hiscox where she was in charge of fine art product development.
The key hire has more than seven years of insurance underwriting experience and also worked at the legal department of international auction house Sotheby’s.
The new senior underwriter will be based in LSM’s Paris office, reporting to both Didier Robin, vice president and head of property and specialties in Paris, and fine arts & specie head for Continental Europe David Saillen.
“Stéphanie’s appointment signals that our growth plans for Europe are well advanced,” said Kadidja Sinz, LSM’s head of Europe. “Her arrival in Paris opens up new avenues for our French team and will lead to the development of many great partnerships in this market.
