About Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto



Usmanu Danfodio University was founded in 1975 as a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Sokoto.

Usmanu Danfodio University was formerly University of Sokoto and is one of the initial twelve federal government owned universities in Nigeria founded in 1975.

The university is officially accredited and/or recognized by the National Universities Commission, Nigeria, Usmanu Danfodio University (UDU) is a coeducational higher education institution.

Usmanu Danfodio University (UDU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, and doctorate degrees in several areas of study. UDU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.

International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment at UDUSOK.
